Haiku Poems

Today we learnt about Haiku poems. Haiku is a traditional form of Japanese poetry.
They have 3 lines. The first line has 5 syllables. The second line has 7 syllables and the third line has 5 syllables.

What Am I?

Soaring through the air.

Wind pushing wings spinning down.

Down, down, down it goes.

Butterflies

Flutter in the sky

On wings of many colours

Land upon flowers

Chocolate Haiku

Crunchy, Chewy, Brown

Heavenly sweetness taste

No more once eaten.


Then we had a go at writing our own...


Rushing through the air
Fly plane as fast as thunder
Waiting to come down.
